Pastor Derrick, Senior Pastor

Corey and I met in college and were married shortly after graduation.  I earned my Bachelor’s of Science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Biblical Literature and Christian Ministries in 2001.  I earned my Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2005.   I then pastored Urbana First Wesleyan Church for seven years.  In July 2011, Inside Out Church (IOC)  was born as a sister church of First Wesleyan.  I continued to pastor First Wesleyan while building the foundation of Inside Out.  However, in the spring of 2012, Corey and I both felt that God was asking us to be ‘all in’ in our efforts to plant IOC.  So, in June 2012, we became full time church planters in Savoy, Illinois.

We are excited to be a part of what God is doing in Savoy!  He continues to open doors of opportunity for us to reach the community for Him.  It truly is our desire to see people transformed by the love of Christ, that does change us from the inside out!

Pastor Staci, Assistant Pastor

In joining the pastoral staff and team of Inside Out Church, my heart is filled with praise and gratitude for the Lord’s continual faithfulness in my life.  Although this is my first church staff position, I view it as God’s next adventure in developing and living out my calling into full-time ministry.  To hear more of that journey, I invite you to read more of it by visiting my blog.

We desire to be a church where people can discover the love of God and the transforming power of the Gospel in order to become authentic followers.  That’s our mission because it is God’s heart!  I believe God has GREAT things in store for IOC in this upcoming year.  As the Assistant Pastor, I consider it a blessing to join God in His mission and you in ministry as we seek to bring the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven.

Inside Out is a casual worship experience, afterall we meet at the Rec. Center. The only dress code we have is that you need to wear clothes! When you arrive at Inside Out you will be welcomed by people who will help you with any questions you have.

Our time of worship includes music led by a contemporary worship team and relevant teaching from the Word of God.  If you have children, we have a crying room available for infants.  Children ages 2-6 will be in the service during the music and announcements, but will then be dismissed for Inside Out Kids!

Sunday Worship Schedule:

9:15-10 a.m.             Time to set up for service!  This includes putting out chairs, hooking up the sounds system and worship team practice.

10:05 a.m.                  Coffee, muffin and chit-chat time!  Catch up with fellow IOCers.

10:30-11:30 a.m.     Worship Service

11:30-noon             Time to tear down from service.

If you have a child who is within the ages of 2-5, when you arrive at the Rec. Center you will be shown how to sign your child in for Inside Out Kids, our children’s church program.  After signing your child in, your whole family can move into the gym for the welcome, announcements and worship with the worship team.  After we are done singing, children will be invited up front for a short children’s message.  Then, children ages 2-5 will be dismissed to go to children’s church during the sermon.  We have a crying room available to you for children that are younger than 2.  All children ages 6 and up will stay in the service with some activity pages to complete during the sermon.

It is our greatest desire to add to our children’s programming as soon as we have the ability to.  It is of utmost importance to us that children have a quality program led by trained people who love children!  If you are interested in helping in anyway, please email pastor@myioc.org or speak to one of the children’s workers.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for musicians to join our worship team!  If you play an instrument or sing, please consider joining us.  Please email us at info@myioc.org!

If you are interested in helping behind the scenes during a worship service, then we can use you!  Someone is needed to run the sound during worship team practices and on Sunday mornings.  We also need someone to run the powerpoint software during church services.  You do not need to be an expert in order to volunteer for either of these areas.  If you are willing to serve God in this way, then we will train you!  Please email us at info@myioc.org.

As a new church, we have many opportunities for you to volunteer to serve God.   No matter what your talents or interests, we can find a place for you!  Please email us at info@myioc.org for more information.

Life Groups are a small group of people who meet in homes to learn/strive to live an Inside Out life. We share life, study Scripture, and challenge each other to live more like Christ. All are welcome no matter where you are on your spiritual journey. This is a safe environment for questions about faith and life.  We meet every Sunday night at 6-7:30 p.m. in Savoy.

Currently, we are studying 1 Kings.

If you have any questions or are interested in joining and want to know where we are meeting please email pastor@myioc.org
